Here less than a year and already breaking the law......

It happens. A 'quick' trip into the village. It won't take long, it can't possibly take longer than half an hour to buy Finn an ice-cream treat to eat by the lake. I'll just pop one quarter into the meter, that'll take me to half past, I'll be back by then, no problem.

But then.......

....you bump into someone you know and have a 'quick' chat (that's a woman's definition of quick, by the way), you decide to get a couple of errands run, (seeing as you're already in town, you might as well),  then, just because you have to walk right by the door, you get some cash from the ATM, (the ice-cream people are happier with cash, after all), take Finn to the bathroom (necessary, doesn't count), and finally get round to buying some ice-cream.

And it really only does only take half an hour to buy Finn an ice-cream treat .

Just as we were finishing, I happened to glance towards the parking meters and there, for once not snoozing on the forecourt of the municipal petrol staion (Jodi's seen him!) was Skaneateles' Traffic Cop, inspecting the meters. Oh joy. And sure enough, tucked under the windscreen wiper of my car was a ticket. Great.

But then......

I read it.

Here it is:

Awwww, shucks. Now, doesn't that just put a smile right up there on your cute l'ill face y'all?

The Fort

A couple of birthdays, 20 man hours and just as many beers.

The result?

Well done Jodi and George!

Warning!

This is the sort of thing that happens when you leave other people in charge......
